"Locum chose YIT due to their good evaluation ratings in, among other things, quality management and development, organization and competence, as well as work with energy optimization," says Marie Boestad, property manager at Locum. "For Locum, it's important that the contractor focuses on high operational reliability so as to ensure that the highly specialized care that is provided at the university hospital is not affected by disturbances."

In this way, the quality of the services are defined to comply with the needs of Locum and health and medical care, while at the same time, cost levels are attained that are based on conditions in the market.

"Competitive procurement gives Locum continued good cost control combined with a focus on safety and energy savings," says Marie Boestad.

The terms of the agreement are five years with the option of extending the agreement two years at a time. It will go into effect for buildings on July 1, 2010 and on April 1, 2011 for infrastructure.
