YIT is building another part of the metro extension in Stockholm, Sweden

YIT and Region Stockholm have agreed on a contract for an access tunnel at Örbyleden in Stockholm. The construction work will begin in March 2021 and the construction period is approximately 14 months. The total value of the project is approximately EUR 9 million and it will be entered in order book for the first quarter of the year. 

The project is a part of a larger expansion of Stockholm’s metro system. Over the coming years, Region Stockholm will expand the metro system with 18 new stations and approximately 30 kilometers of new track tunnels. 

At Örbyleden, YIT will build an access tunnel for future work at Högdals metro depot on behalf of Region Stockholm.
