ATEA AND YIT EXTEND THEIR COOPERATION IN IT-SERVICES

Atea and YIT Corporation have today signed an agreement concerning life cycle services for YIT’s workstations. The agreement covers selected support, licencing and logistics services for YIT’s 12,000 workstations. The value of the three-year agreement is EUR 4.3 million. In addition there is a two-year renewal option.

Atea and YIT have also today renewed their workstation supply agreement. The annual deliveries reach approximately 3,000 workstations with a value of EUR 3 million per annum. The agreements will take effect on 16 January, 2012.

With the new agreement, YIT seeks to offer professional and flexible workstation services to users in all its markets – the Nordic countries, Central Europe, Russia and the Baltic countries.

Atea takes the responsibility for managing YIT’s workstations and smartphones as well as other routines such as device logistics. Further, Atea will provide self-service portal for software ordering, packaging and delivery, licence management services as well as second line support for YIT’s workstation environment.

The agreement also includes that 17 YIT’s IT professionals in Finland, Estonia, Norway, Denmark and Sweden will transfer to Atea. Atea will deliver most of the remote support services to YIT from its Riga service centre in Latvia. The services are available in 12 languages.

“We are proud to have been chosen as YIT’s partner in enhancing the IT environment. This agreement shows Atea’s capability to meet the service needs of large, international corporations,” says Juha Sihvonen, Managing Director at Atea Finland.

“The agreement is a natural extension of the current workstation delivery agreement and complements our own on-site and service desk services with Atea’s remote workstation services. It provides increased service quality, resilience and flexibility to our end-users,” says Jørgen Christensen, CIO at YIT Corporation.
