SIGNIFICANT TUNNEL CONTRACTS FOR LEMMINKÄINEN INFRA OY IN SWEDEN

Lemminkäinen Group's Lemminkäinen Infra Oy has been awarded two railway tunnel
construction contracts in Sweden. The combined value of the contracts is approx.
EUR 43 million. Both works will be carried out on the new section of the
Ådalsbana line between Härnösand and Veda.

The larger of the two contracts belongs to construction works further to the
north on the Ådalsbana line at Hallberg and Snaraberg. The contract includes the
construction of track tunnels measuring 2.3 and 0.8 kilometres in length as well
as their connecting rescue tunnels. Altogether 5.2 kilometres of tunnels will be
constructed. Construction work will begin in July and will last for two years.
The contract is worth approx. EUR 40 million and the client is Banverket.

The other work is the Utansjö railway tunnel, which will be constructed as a
subcontract for Vägverket Produktion. The tunnel is 230 metres long and located
to the north of Bjässholmen tunnel currently being constructed by Lemminkäinen.
The contract is worth approx. EUR 3 million.

- These new contracts are a significant extension to the tunnel construction
works worth approx. EUR 100 million that Lemminkäinen Infra Oy is presently
carrying out on the Ådalsbana line. The new contracts bring continuity to our
rock engineering business in Sweden and support its long-term development, says
the Managing Director of Lemminkäinen Infra Oy, Mr. Timo Kohtamäki.

Lemminkäinen Infra Oy has been continuously active on the Swedish tunnel
construction market since 1994. Excluding these new works, the company has so
far built 14 railway tunnels in Sweden.
