Lemminkäinen wins construction contract for Pikkutori shopping centre in Mikkeli

LEMMINKÄINEN WINS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR PIKKUTORI SHOPPING CENTRE IN MIKKELI

Lemminkäinen has started construction work on the final phase of the Pikkutori
shopping centre in Mikkeli. The order was received from Osuuskauppa Suur-Savo
in June. The contract will be completed in December 2011. Lemminkäinen's
contract for the final phase of construction works includes technical building
works from the building frame phase onwards. The contract is worth approx. EUR
9 million. The contract was booked for the second quarter orders received. 

The principal contractor is Lemminkäinen Talo Oy Kaakkois-Suomi, which is
currently also carrying out enlargement works on the S-ryhmä and Prisma stores
in Kouvola and Kotka. 

The Pikkutori shopping centre, which is being built next to Mikkeli's main
square, is the biggest single trade and services investment in the Southern
Savonia region of Eastern Finland. The total value of the project's contracts
is EUR 35.7 million. When completed, the development will be the biggest
shopping centre is Eastern Finland. Its main drivers will be Sokos and
S-Market.
