The Mall of Tripla shopping centre, which will be opened in autumn 2019, will offer an unprecedentedly large centre of restaurants and grocery stores. With total area of 12,000 square metres, all the business premises for grocery stores have now been rented. Together with area of 12,000 square metres reserved for the restaurant world, the size of the business premises for restaurants and convenience goods are equivalent to over three football pitches. Currently approximately 40 per cent of commercial facilities has been rented out with binding agreements.
There will be five grocery stores in Mall of Tripla: Prisma with large convenience goods department, K-Supermarket by Kesko, Alepa, K-Market and Lidl as the newest tenant. Convenience goods operators believe strongly in the attractiveness of Tripla. “We believe that Mall of Tripla will become a lively shopping center and that Alepa has the right concept for the new business premises. We want to be where our customers are”, says Merja Mustonen, Area Director of Alepa. “Especially wonderful is that Mall of Tripla offers us the possibility to offer Prisma’s wide selection of goods and cheapenized prices also for downtown citizens”, continues Lassi Juntunen, Director of Prisma-chain.
Of the restaurant world business premises, over 20 have been already rented out and almost all remaining premises are currently under negotiations. HOK Elanto restaurants alone have reserved approximately 900 square metres. “The negotiations for restaurant premises have been very active. Restaurant operators strongly believe that Tripla will become the new centre for restaurants”, says Pirjo Aalto, Commercial Development Director of YIT.
In addition, “The aim is to create an environment where one can spend some time in peaceful and relaxed environment or, on the other hand, easily grab a tasty packed lunch to go”, describes Pirjo Aalto.
The Mall of Tripla is a shopping centre to be constructed as the centre of Central Pasila. In terms of the number of retail spaces, it will be the largest in Finland and it will have the best commercial location in the country. The Mall of Tripla will have a total of 85,000 m2 of rentable space for some 250 tenants. The shopping centre will be opened in autumn 2019 at the same time as the parking facilities and the new Pasila station. Tripla will make Central Pasila a district dedicated to urban culture and experiences.
