The Liiteri container offers residents high-quality home supplies and electric and cleaning tools for rentas an alternative to owning them.

YIT has decided to promote the living comfort of the Kivistö area in Vantaa by acquiring the use of the Liiteri.net sharing economy services for use by the residents.

The Liiteri container located at Safiiriaukio offers high-quality home supplies and electrical tools and cleaning equipment for rent. The service is conveniently available 24/7. In addition to home supplies, Liiteri offers its users access to a Solifer electric bike. The selection will also include a smart box that will give Liiteri users the chance to take advantage of different useful additional services in the future.

Before the service is opened on June 29, YIT will invite residents in the area to give ideas on what supplies Liiteri should offer and how the service might be otherwise developed. In practice, YIT representatives will be meeting the residents of Kivistö at Safiiriaukio at the address Kvartsiraitti 18, outside the Liiteri container on June 19 at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The residents in the area may also answer an electronic Liiteri questionnaire here: bit.ly/kivistönliiteri

The fee for the service is EUR 18.90 per month.

“People increasingly appreciate ease and convenience of living, so it is important for YIT to promote things that make everyday life run smoother. We are continuously developing new living services with our partners. We are eagerly awaiting to see how the Liiteri services will be received in Kivistö,” says Pekka Helin, YIT’s Senior Vice President of the Living Services development programme.

Liiteri’s services give users more relaxing leisure time and free up space in the home for other, smarter use. Thanks to the services, you do not need to own all of the household items and equipment you need. The service also makes it easier for new residents to settle in because Liiteri offers easy access to many supplies that are usually only needed when moving.

“We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with YIT in developing housing services and making the lives of Kivistö’s residents easier. We hope that many residents in the area are able to make their everyday lives less stressful by using our Liiteri.net service,” says CEO Harri Paloheimo of CoReorient Oy.

The shared-use service Liiteri.net is one of the winners of Sitra’s Fiksu arki (Smart everyday life) company competition. YIT was one of the partners and judges of the company competition. Read more about the project: https://bit.ly/2ssPmcA

Kivistö is one of the major residential and working areas in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. In the future, Kivistö will be home to as many as 30,000 Vantaa residents. The foundation stone of the Kivistö area was laid in April 2014, and it hosted the Housing Fair in 2015. YIT’s Asunto Oy Vantaan Puuhakivi was the first apartment building to be completed in Kivistö in spring 2015.
