YIT started several residential apartment building projects in Finland and the CEE countries in July–September. The total value of the largest projects is approximately EUR 130 million. The start-ups of the apartments are booked in the order backlog of the third quarter of 2020.

The largest of the newly started projects in Finland are Tampereen Lisensiaatti, Espoon Helios, Kuopion Mäkihyppääjä, Vantaan Helokki and Joensuun Pankkiiri.

Tampereen Lisensiaatti is located in Tieteenkortteli (“the Science Block”) in the Tampere district of Hervanta. The value of the project is almost EUR 11 million, with approximately 67 apartments to be completed in the autumn 2021.

Espoon Helios is located in the Espoo district of Kivenlahti, close to the Marinsatama marina. The value of the project is nearly EUR 13 million, with more than 45 apartments to be completed in late 2021.

Kuopion Mäkihyppääjä is located in the Kuopio district of Puijo, famous for its hills and ski jumps. The value of the project is almost EUR 12 million, with approximately 59 apartments to be completed in autumn 2021.

Joensuun Pankkiiri is located in Joensuu city centre, within walking distance of the market square. The value of the project is more than EUR 12 million, with 53 apartments to be completed in late 2021.

Vantaan Helokki is located in the district of Leinelä. The value of the project is more than EUR 11 million, with 63 apartments to be completed in late 2021.

The largest of the newly started projects in the CEE countries are Aludariai in Vilnius, Lithuania and Zwirn and Nuppu in Bratislava, Slovakia.

In the Aludariai project, the construction of the third phase has been initiated. The value of the project is somewhat under EUR 13 million, with 80 apartments to be completed in early 2022. The project consists of four phases.

In the Zwirn project, the construction of the first phase has begun. The value of the project is approximately EUR 48 million, with 267 apartments to be completed in the late summer 2023. Zwirn is an urban residential and office property in Bratislava’s historical industrial district, on a plot of land known for being the location of a spinning mill.

Nuppu is YIT’s largest area development project in Bratislava’s Ruzinov borough, 10 minutes from the city centre. The value of the project’s eighth phase, which is currently being started, is over EUR 10 million, with approximately 98 apartments to be completed in the autumn 2022.
