YIT has started the construction of apartment properties built according to the Smartti concept in five cities in Finland. In all, the residential projects in Kaarina, Vantaa, Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta and Riihimäki will consist of approximately 240 apartments with overall value of close to EUR 32 million. The projects are scheduled to be completed in late 2017.

With Smartti production YIT meets the demand for functional and reasonable priced apartments. Apartments can be modified according to different situations in life, as the design is based on standard dimensioning where, for example, the space is divided by cabinets instead of partition walls. Various decor options and the opportunity to order specially designed fixtures, furnishings and additional cupboards further contribute to the adaptability.

The reservation rates of Smartti projects have been at high level. YIT is constructing now Smartti apartments in nine cities around Finland. In addition to the cities listed above, Smartti projects are under way in Lahti, Kuopio, Oulu and Tampere.

“Smartti’s new philosophy and adaptability to life situations have been well received. We will continue to use Smartti innovations in the future,” says Marko Oinas, Senior Vice President, Development, Housing Finland and CEE, of YIT.
