LEMMINKÄINEN WINS AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACT FOR THE TAMPERE HIGH SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY
Lemminkäinen will carry out electrical work for the Tampere High School of Technology. The client is the City of Tampere and the contract is valued at about EUR 1.3 million. Work will begin in January 2013 and is scheduled for completion in April 2014.
The high school will be built as an extension to the Tampere College (TAO) on a plot located at Hepolamminkatu 10. The electrical contract comprises both the extension and the section under renovation at the Tampere College. The building extension has a gross floor area of about 6,000 square metres and the renovated section measures about 500 square metres.
The premises will be illuminated using an integrated lighting control system. It will enable energy-efficient and easily modifiable general illumination that serves the intended use of the premises and the needs of the users. A total of 1,500 IT outlets will be installed.
Lemminkäinen has completed electrical contracts for many schools in the Pirkanmaa region, such as the Sampo Upper Secondary School in Tampere, the Ylöjärvi training centre, the Tampere Business College and the Nekala school.
