LEMMINKÄINEN TAKES PART IN THE RENOVATION OF KUOPIO CITY THEATRE
Lemminkäinen is involved in the renovation and extension project of the Kuopio City Theatre. The company is responsible for all heating, plumbing, ventilation and electrical installation works on site, with the exception of stage technology and security system contracts. These will be carried out under separate contracts. The customer is the property management centre (Tilakeskus) of the City of Kuopio.
The contract encompasses approximately 11,000 m2 and is valued at around 4.5 million euros. Earthwork on the site will begin in June 2012. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2014.
"In technical terms, this is a demanding project which requires careful advance planning and good execution. Various factors can cause disturbances in the functioning of the theatre's technical equipment. Because of this, successful electrical installations are essential from the point of view of end users," says Rauno Ulmanen, Regional Manager of Lemminkäinen.
Lemminkäinen has experience of large, demanding HVAC projects in the Kuopio region, for instance in connection with life cycle projects for Kuopio schools.
