LEMMINKÄINEN BUILDS A NURSING HOME ON TÄHTIMÖKATU IN TURKU
Lemminkäinen will carry out the construction of a nursing home in the Jaaninpuisto area of Turku as a turnkey contract for the non-profit developer Suomen Erityisasunnot Oy. The total area of the facilities will amount to 6,075 m², while their cubic capacity will total 13,725 m³. The construction project comprises a two-storey main building and two service buildings. The nursing home’s main building will house four group homes, with a total of 60 apartments. The service buildings will house, for example, laundry and storage facilities. Construction work at the site has already started and will be completed end of June 2012.
Once the construction project is complete, the use of the buildings will be transferred to the elderly care provider company Attendo MedOne Hoiva Oy.
Within the sphere of its own housing development, Lemminkäinen has built several blocks of terraced houses in the Jaaninpuisto area. A building for the housing company Turun Ahokaunokki is currently under construction.
