LEMMINKÄINEN CORPORATION                       PRESS RELEASE, 27 OCTOBER 2011, AT 12:00 A.M.

FIRST SHOPS READY TO OPEN AT KAUPPAPAIKKA HERMAN

Construction work on the Kauppapaikka Herman retail trade property has progressed according to plan. The first section of the shopping centre will be opened on 28 October 2011. Leasing of the retail premises has commenced successfully; 95% of the facilities completed in the first phase have been leased. In August 2010, Lemminkäinen sold the first section of the shopping centre to Kiinteistö Oy Naumanen. Construction of Kauppapaikka Herman, a 40,000 m² shopping centre in the Kuopio suburb of Levänen, began in May 2010 and will be completed in its entirety during the spring of 2012. Herman will be a versatile shopping and leisure centre for the entire family, specialising in home and decoration as well as leisure activities.

Herman's anchor businesses will be K-Rauta Naumanen and Hong Kong. The first section will be home to K-Rauta and several other retailers, among them Topi-Keittiöt, Nelko, Muurametalot, Helo Center, Sony Center, Canon, Norppatex-Palvelut, Danish kitchen supply outlet Kvik, and the home appliances chain Veikon Kone.

The second section will be occupied by Hong Kong as well as Kuopion Huonekalukeskus, Konditoria Malmberg, Ravintola Herman, beauty parlour Salon KP, Fasifood, and others. In addition, Northern Europe's leading automotive spare parts chain, Mekonomen, will open a shop at Herman. Approximately 60% of the facilities to be built in the second phase have already been leased.

'Since spring 2008, Lemminkäinen has been developing the premises at Leväsentie 2 into a significant commercial centre,' comments Regional Director Matti Pätynen of Lemminkäinen. 'Its favourable location has made the shopping centre very interesting to retailers. Herman will host newcomers to the Kuopio region as well as familiar local businesses. The new city plan, which entered into force in June 2010, has made it possible to establish a versatile product and service offering at Herman,' he says.
