Lemminkäinen to refurbish a commercial property in Turku

Lemminkäinen Group’s Palmberg TKU Oy is to refurbish a commercial property (Kiinteistö Oy Julininkulma) in Turku. The property is the home of Scandic Hotel Julia, which will offer its guests greater comfort and modernity when it open its doors after the refurbishment and extension work. The enlarged hotel will have 155 rooms as well as conference facilities and a restaurant.

Kiinteistö Oy Julininkulma, a 6-storey commercial building, was constructed in Turku in 1985. It is owned by Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company.

The modernisation and refurbishment work will begin in December 2009 and will be completed in early spring 2011. The floor area to be refurbished is roughly 7,000 square metres. The contract is worth approx. EUR 9 million.
