LEMMINKÄINEN STRENGTHENS ITS MINERAL AGGREGATES BUSINESS IN ESTONIA

LEMMINKÄINEN CORPORATION							 

On 25 May 2007 Lemminkäinen Corporation acquired a majority interest in the     
Estonian construction company Lõhketööd OÜ, which was established in 1992 and   
specialises in quarrying, blasting and demolition work. Lõhketööd OÜ operates   
nationwide in Estonia.                                                          

Lõhketööd OÜ employs 18 people and its net sales in 2006 were approx. EUR 1.5   
million. The former principal shareholder and managing director of Lõhketööd OÜ,
Mr. Andres Leht, will continue to lead the company after the acquisition.       

- The purpose of this acquisition is to expand our quarrying contracting        
operations and to develop the processing of mineral aggregates in Estonia and   
also in the other Baltic states, says the Head of Lemminkäinen Corporation's    
Mineral Aggregates Unit, Mr. Juhani Innanen.                                    

- At the same time we will ensure the supply of mineral aggregates necessary for
our asphalt paving operations in the country.                                   

Lemminkäinen Group's AS Talter is one of Estonia's largest asphalt paving       
contractors.

Paving and Mineral Aggregates Division                                          

Lemminkäinen's Paving and Mineral Aggregates Division is an asphalt paving and  
road improvement contractor as well as a producer of mineral aggregates and     
ready-mix concrete. The Division also carries out year-round highway maintenance
contracts and offers environmental engineering products and services. The       
Division operates mainly in the Baltic Rim region and derives roughly half of   
its business from international operations.                                     
                                                                                
Lemminkäinen Group operates in all areas of the construction sector. Its main   
business areas are building contracting, infrastructure construction, the       
building materials industry and technical building services. Net sales in 2006  
were EUR 1,795.9 million, of which international operations accounted for about
