FCA ALLEGATIONS CONCERNING THE BITUMINOUS ROOFING INDUSTRY

Lemminkäinen has studied the allegations of the Finnish
Competition Authority (FCA) concerning the exchange of information
in the bituminous roofing industry, and has submitted its response
on the matter.

The FCA’s draft proposal mainly pertains to information on total
sales volumes that was gathered for the construction sector’s
general statistics. In Lemminkäinen’s view, the information was of
no relevance for its business strategy and had no effect on the
competitive behaviour of the companies concerned.

Lemminkäinen has clarified in its response that the activities of
the company were in compliance with the competition regulations.
