Lemminkäinen to construct apartments for VVO Group in Vuosaari

LEMMINKÄINEN TO CONSTRUCT APARTMENTS FOR VVO GROUP IN VUOSAARI 

Lemminkäinen and the VVO Group have signed an agreement on the construction of 67 rental apartments in Vuosaari, Helsinki. The construction work will begin in the summer of 2016 and the apartments will be finished in the autumn of 2017. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the contract. 

The apartment sizes in the building to be constructed in Kahvipavunkuja will range from one to three rooms. The site has excellent traffic connections and services as well as great recreational opportunities. The metro station, shopping centre and other services are nearby. The area also features a beach and a golf course as well as schools and day-care centres. 

"The objective of the VVO Group is to continue investing in rental apartments in the urban growth centres of Finland so that the Helsinki metropolitan area, in particular, can develop as the engine of the Finnish economy. All the rental apartments to be constructed are market-based Lumo rental apartments offering a constantly developing selection of housing services," says Kim Jolkkonen, Real Estate Development Director at the VVO Group. 

"We have already built several housing companies in the area and the construction will continue for several more years.
