CHANGES IN LEMMINKÄINEN’S EXECUTIVE TEAM

Lemminkäinen Corporation’s Executive Vice President, Procurement, Jouni Pekonen leaves the company as of 9 June 2014. As a result of its Deliver 2014 programme and the divestment of Technical building services, Lemminkäinen has decided to reorganise its procurement, which led to Pekonen’s departure.

"Effective procurement still plays an essential role in improving Lemminkäinen’s competitiveness. With Pekonen’s lead procurement has been developed systematically and profitably during the recent years. At this stage of the company’s development, we have decided that business segments will be responsible for procurement and purchases," says interim President and CEO Berndt Brunow.

Executive Vice President Harri Kailasalo will be responsible for the development of procurement and realization of cost savings in the Group Executive Team.

M.Sc. (Tech.) Jouni Pekonen was appointed Executive Vice President, Procurement, and member of the Executive Team at Lemminkäinen in 2012.
