LEMMINKÄINEN WINS STATE PAVING CONTRACTS IN NORWAY AND SWEDEN

Lemminkäinen has won a total of about EUR 95 million in State paving contracts in Norway and Sweden for 2013.

In Norway, Lemminkäinen won State paving contracts worth EUR 65 million. These contracts have a total asphalt volume of 510,000 tons, which represents about 27 per cent of the paving work on offer. Due to this work, Lemminkäinen's relative market share in Norway raises the highest it has ever been. The contracts won for 2013 are more evenly distributed across Norway than last year's contracts. Lemminkäinen has been engaged in infrastructure construction in Norway since 2001.

In Sweden, Lemminkäinen won State paving contracts worth EUR 30 million, which represents about 19 per cent of the asphalt work on offer. The total asphalt volume of these contracts is 320,000 tons. This is the largest volume of work that Lemminkäinen has won in annual State tenders. Lemminkäinen's new contracts are located in central and northern Sweden, and focus on mobile contracts. Lemminkäinen made a successful return to the Swedish paving market in 2012 after a break of couple of years.

The majority of the new contracts have been recognised in the order book for the first quarter.

Nordic infrastructure is one of Lemminkäinen's strategic growth areas. The company is seeking to increase its net sales from infrastructure construction in Norway, Denmark and Sweden by about EUR 100 million in 2012 - 2013.
