Lemminkäinen to handle upkeep and maintenance of the Itis Shopping Centre property

LEMMINKÄINEN TO HANDLE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE OF THE ITIS SHOPPING CENTRE PROPERTY

Lemminkäinen and Kauppakeskus Itäkeskus Oy have signed an agreement for upkeep and maintenance services of the Itis Shopping Centre property. The multi-year co-operation agreement begins in October 2013. The parties have agreed not to disclose the contract price.

The contract covers basic maintenance, scheduled technical maintenance, as well as repair and alteration services.  The contract also enables Lemminkäinen to provide additional services for the shopping centre. Itis is the largest shopping centre in the Nordic countries, comprising over 170 shops, 30 restaurants, two department stores and 30 offices.

Through timely maintenance, we can influence the condition of the property, make it more comfortable and reduce energy consumption. This prolongs the lifecycle of the property and their technical building systems, helping to preserve their value," says Marcus Karsten, Executive Vice President at Lemminkäinen.
