Lemminkäinen to construct third phase of Campus Kungsgården project in Vaasa, Finland

LEMMINKÄINEN TO CONSTRUCT THIRD PHASE OF CAMPUS KUNGSGÅRDEN PROJECT IN VAASA, FINLAND

Lemminkäinen has been chosen as the main contractor for the third and most extensive phase of the construction contract for Campus Kungsgården, a set of premises for a Swedish-speaking vocational education institution. The contract was ordered by the educational and cultural association Svenska Österbottens förbund för utbildning och kultur (SÖFUK). The value of the Lemminkäinen contract is approximately EUR 13 million.

From April 2012, the project involves approximately 10,600 square metres of new construction and 3,000 square metres of renovation. Work on the project will start at the beginning of April and is scheduled for completion in November 2013.

This project is significant to Lemminkäinen's business in the Vaasa region. Lemminkäinen acted as the main contractor in a similar project involving the renovation and extension of an education centre in Vähänkyrö.
