LEMMINKÄINEN TO CONSTRUCT HOUSING FOR VVO

Lemminkäinen Group's Palmberg-Urakoitsijat Oy is to build a total of 267 units
for VVO in Vantaa, Kerava and Hämeenlinna. Altogether the contracts are worth
approx. EUR 25 million. 

In Vantaa a total of 153 units in five separate buildings will be constructed
at VVO Pyhtäänkorventie 21. 

In Kerava one building consisting of 28 units and 13 group homes will be
constructed at VVO Porvoonkatu 12. 

In Hameenlinna, 86 units, some of which are intended for physically handicapped
persons, seniors and the use of the Finnish Association of People with Physical
Disabilities, will be constructed at VVO Rakuunankatu 3. 

The emphasis in housing production has been shifting towards the construction
of rental housing this year. By the end of the second quarter Lemminkäinen had
made new starts on 420 rental housing units. The Group has also made starts on
153 units in its own housing developments during 2009.
