LEMMINKÄINEN TO BUILD IKEA STORE IN TAMPERE

A consortium consisting of Lemminkäinen Group's Rakennustoimisto Palmberg Oy
and Lemcon Ltd has made an agreement with IKEA Real Estate Oy concerning the
construction of a new IKEA store in Tampere. 

Located in the Lahdesjärvi district of Tampere close by the Tampere-Helsinki
motorway, the new building will be Finland's fourth and largest IKEA home
furnishing store. 

“We are delighted that our partnership with IKEA will be continued in Tampere.
The construction is to be carried out as a project management contract, which is
the same contracting model as that used when we build IKEA's Vantaa store in
2002-2003. Lemcon is a pioneer of project management contracting in Finland,”
says Lemcon's Regional Director Jouko Niemonen. 

The building will have a gross floor area of 37,500 m2 and a volume of 260,000
m3. Construction work will begin in July 2009 and will be completed in summer
2010. The contract is worth approx. EUR 18 million.
