Lemminkäinen to build care facility for senior citizens in Oulu

Lemminkäinen Group’s Palmberg-Rakennus Oy is to build a care facility for senior citizens in Oulu. The care centre is called Rajakylän Hoiva, which will have a care unit for 82 senior citizens as well as 18 assisted-living apartments for people with developmental disabilities. Spaces for a branch library as well a gym and meeting rooms for common use will also be built.

Special attention will be paid in both planning and construction to the provision of unhindered movement and access and also to the energy efficiency of the building.

Construction of the care facility will begin in August and will be completed by the end of 2010. The contract is worth approx. EUR 7 million. The client is the City of Oulu.
