E18 Road project

E18 road project

We have been involved in the implementation of three significant E18 projects between Loviisa’s Koskenkylä district and the Vaalimaa border crossing point in Virolahti municipality. Two of the projects are public-private partnership projects, of which the Hamina–Vaalimaa project is still in the implementation phase.

The E18 motorway, also known within Finland’s borders as National road 7, is part of the Nordic Triangle transport corridor, which has been assigned as a high priority by the EU. The client in the E18 project is the Finnish Transport Agency. National road 7 is part of the E18 motorway, which connects the largest cities, harbours and airports in Southern Finland. The road is the most significant international connection in Finland and it includes the completion of the EU-approved motorway standard road from Ring Road III to Vaalimaa. The entire E18 road is a green motorway, with construction solutions guided by eco-efficiency, the use of new energy sources and the recycling of materials.

E18 is Finland’s most important international connection, which interconnects the largest cities, harbours and airports of South Finland.
